Compassionate care
Every patient is met with dignity, patience, and respect for where they are in their recovery.
Our story
New Era Medical Respite Program was founded to close the gap between hospital discharge and true recovery — for patients who are medically stable but not yet ready, or able, to return home safely.
Every day, hospitals discharge patients who are clinically stable but still vulnerable — recovering from surgery, managing a new diagnosis, or without a safe place to go. Too often, the result is a bounce back to the emergency room within weeks.
New Era was built to be the missing step: a licensed, staffed environment where patients can complete their recovery, connect with case management, and move toward long-term stability, rather than being discharged into uncertainty.
We partner directly with hospital discharge planners and case managers to make referrals simple and fast. Our clinical team reviews each referral for medical appropriateness, and our care coordinators start planning next steps — housing, benefits, ongoing treatment — from day one of a patient's stay.
We operate two residential locations in Pierce County, each staffed to support medical monitoring, daily living needs, and behavioral health coordination.
